I took these impromptu portraits of my father at a family gathering and I think they came out ok. He wanted a blacked out background so I gave him one and then left some background on the other two for depth. I played with the various exposure and shadow levels in LR and adjusted the white balance. Definitely adding a color checker card. Canon R6 Mark 2, RF 50mm F1/8, 1/200 at ISO 100, 800, and 1250, respectively, single Godox speedlite.

Excellent portraits. I can't decide who he favors the most, Sean Connery or Burt Reynolds....

Interesting face - full of character. I can see elements of Anthony Quinn or Christopher Plummer.

These are great - well done!

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...

    Fantastic sport camera
This camera is FANTASTIC. I'm a dog sports shooter, so very fast indoor action with a lot of obstacles to shoot in and around. This camera does a...

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
