I'm still astonished with the low light and high ISO performance of the R6 MK1. Here are 3 shots of a dance performance and the after shots. Please enjoy!

What were your settings and noise reduction level? I tend to stick to 25 strength denoise ai in Lightroom. Did you shoot slightly “to the right”? I find with my R6Mk2 the noise is most prevalent when shadows and exposure are raised. The shots look really good!

Thanks for your kind compliments Joe. :)

Settings:

...899: f5.6, 1/160s, 83mm, ISO10000 (AUTO ISO)
...925: f5, 1/160s, 52mm, ISO1250 (AUTO ISO)
...930: f4.5, 1/160s, 42mm, ISO3200 (AUTO ISO)

Noise reduction level in Photoshop was at 50 strength in Denoise AI. I didn't shoot to the right, just "as is", metering was set to "evaluative" and adjusted shadows and blacks in post to pull up some dark parts.

I’d say so. I don’t hesitate to shoot mine at 25600 if I need to.

Although, with more ai generated images popping up, I don’t mind a bit of noise here and there. I think it provides some authenticity as a real photograph. Sort of like grain in film.

OK. Agree with you on a bit of grain. May not bother be either. And then, here's another experimental test shot I took of our cast iron skillet rack in our kitchen. Can you guess the ISO? Bro, this was taken at ISO102400 (say: one-hundred-and two thousand- four hundred) with noise reduction, of course, but nonetheless. Kudos Canon! :)

Nice! I took one of a dog at 102400 but I didn’t get all that noise reduction. What strength did you use?

I took this picture of my wonderful wife at 102,400 using a Holga Lens and some Lightroom editing. Pretty good for a Holga! For some reason the upload has the ISO listed at 655XX, which is incorrect
