Help from the forum. I attached a business spotting scope to my R6M2 in an attempt to capture the supermoon yesterday. Test fired in the house first. Manual, ISO 100, F00, S 1/125. Green focus box on, shot taken inside house. Same setup outdoors, focusing on Catalina mountains approximately 1.5 km away. Green focus box on but camera would not fire. I ended up shooting my 24-105 F4 at the mountains, which worked until monsoon thunderstorms rolled in with rain and hail. Maybe next time in 2037. Ha. Any advice would be accepted.

The only thing I can think of is the One-shot AF Release Priority (menu AF3). Do you have it set to focus? Or release?

I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
