RF 50mm f/1.8

Good morning. I purchased the R6M2 24-105 STM kit, since I have zero Canon EF or RF glass. The first thing I did was buy an EF to RF adapter since EF glass is so much less expensive on the used market.

Has anyone directly compared the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and the EF 50mm f/1.8 STM (or the EF 50mm f/1.8 USM)? From what I can tell it’s mostly the same glass. Thanks.

According to DP image quality seems identical so the glass maybe too ...

Image quality is pretty much the same, but the RF version doesn't need an adapter, which makes it a lot smaller and lighter.
