Birds Sanderlings?

Can anyone confirm these are sanderlings? Given the location (Japan), sanderlings seems to be the best bet, but they do look a lot like little stints (which would be a rarer find).

Great shots. I think they are Little Stints, from what I can see they have unwebbed toes and western sanderlings have webbed toes. I can't tell their size but I think Little Stints are smaller than Sanderlings. I could be totally wrong though.

Thanks. One reason I went with sanderlings is that little stints have a little back toe, which I don't see on these birds...although from the angle of the shots, it's hard to tell.

Oh! True! I forgot about that back toe. I can't see it either, so maybe it is. Darn.
