Anyone used them?
  • Product Line: They offer high-performance "Rugged" and "Velocity" CINE SD cards, which are designed for professional use (V90/UHS-II speeds).
  • Distinction from "Fake Chinese Cards": ProMaster is a legitimate, reputable brand sold in authorized camera shops, making them distinct from the unauthorized, counterfeit, or unbranded "fake Chinese SD cards" a USA brand.
Edit doing rodeo high speed continuous finding I need V90 never thought it would

I'm still a slow shooter. I think I shot High Speed Continuous (not +) once and I couldn't help but thinking how much that was going to cost to have them developed.

I do know that I have "just missed" a few shots from shooting. one. at. a. time, and I have very little interest in shooting video.

same re video. And agree high speed plus was overkill. Dressage etc is often low speed 1 2 3 4 clik clik clik 1 2 3 4 clik clik clik time it with there canter or trot

From what I understand, Promaster doesn't manufacture their own products. They buy bulk inventory from other manufacturers, put that in their own packaging and sell mainly in retail, brick and mortar camera stores for a price somewhat less than manufacturer-branded products. Retailers love them. When a novice comes in for a camera and lens, staff can point them to accessories they might need -- filters, cards, bags, tripods, etc. -- and Promaster would offer the best price in the store on that kind of inventory.

So this card might be a Sandisk or a Lexar or, who knows? It's probably from a reputable manufacturer. Probably a step up from a no-name Chinese brand. But you never know. Maybe check the specs of the Promaster cards you're looking at against specs from other manufacturers; see if anything matches up.
