That Canon decided to use different shutter release connectors for the R5 and R6 is no small point of consternation for me. Just ridiculous.
I use a Vello wireless release that allows you to swap out camera-specific cables so I ordered this one and it works fine. Anything shown to work with an EOS R or RP will work on the R6.

I find Canon connect very hit and miss. I love the fact that you can change settings remotely but it's very slow too.Depends what you are trying to photograph I guess.
Well, I have just downloaded the app and jhad a go and it does what I need. I am looking to do some indoor food photography and i want to avoid any unnecessary camera shake. I know that I can use the 2 second delay but the added comfort of a remote control of the shutter makes me feel eve more confident in avoiding that chance of camera motion blur
