So is it an "opportunistic" shot or a "planned" one? šŸ˜œ

@ctitanic posed the question about "opportunistic" shooters and I need a ruling here.

As I headed out the door yesterday, I just happened to notice a "treelet" in my side yard, in a sea of snow, with some soft shadows and I thought about going back in the house and grabbing the camera. That's "opportunistic", right? Then I decided to wait until later in the day, when the shadows were longer and more pronounced, which I did...so that's a "planned" shot....? Should I have taken both, just to cover all the bases?
