I used the Canon Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R to be able to use my existing Canon 16-35 f/2.8 glass on the R5 body for this shot. Very seamless and I like having the aperture dial on the lens as in the old film camera days. R5, EF to R adapter, 16-35 f/2.8 @ 16mm, f/16, 1/500th, iso 200.

Wow! Beautiful!
Thanks, Kathryn. That shot also taught me something about the R5, albeit after the fact. At the beach I couldn't get my Laowa 12mm fisheye lens to operate on the camera. It's a manual aperture lens; no auto anything. Turns out that to use such lenses you have to change a menu item to allow the camera to shoot w/o a lens on. Huh? Why would you ever want to do that you may ask. I did. Anyway, I digress. The menu item is in the Custom Functions menu (6th menu), tab 4, "Release shutter w/o lens". Here's a quick vid tute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcRSrbyyynE

You also have to use this setting with old manual focus Canon lenses, like the vintage FDs. The camera doesn't sense the lens because there is no feedback from the contacts for AF, so you have to set it up like there's no lens at all.
