Here are a couple photos from my trip where I limited myself to vintage Manual Lenses on my R5.

The first is with the FD 800mm f/5.6 SSC 1/1000 sec, f/8 and ISO 125. I discovered how difficult it is to photograph birds in flight... focusing under harsh lighting was almost impossible.

Very nice pics!

Manual focus for BIF? With f/5.6? That's fairly ballsy. I might have (OK, probably would have) cheated a bit by stopping down to F/11 or more.

Lastly, that gull needs to get with the program. It's going in the wrong direction!

You are correct. My typo... f/5.6 lens shot at f/8. Thank you for keeping me honest.
 
I am currently assuming that the spider reference in photo 2 must be in relation to shelob.

That was Ungoliant, but you can see one of her surviving brood: Shelob in the corner.
