The Canon store has some that are refurbished for $359 which is about $80 under the normal price. I currently have the 16mm prime and the 24-105 L but wouldn't mind a wide zoom. It gets pretty good reviews, sharp and lightweight.

Good choice, maybe a better one would be the RF 14-35mm F4 L IS USM lens. Decision, decision, decision!! :) I used to consult with better half when such new lens purchasing are on the horizon. You bet its not an easy case, but no need to give up. Considering the fact as part of the argument I always say, Honey, we don't t buy a lens every day, so let's skip the price issue. Use "we" instead of "I". Makes a whole lotta difference. May work for you or may not! ;) On another note, technically speaking on a wide angle lens each and every millimeter counts, so 1 mm of 15 vs. 14 can have a considerable yield in terms of wideness! Best of luck to Ya! :)

Looks really neat on my EOS R6 MK1, doesn't it??!!

Ooh that is a good price. Converted to Canadian dollars that's a few hundred dollars less than normal MSRP here. I don't have any experience with that lens, I'm not a big wide-angle guy, but for that price, I'd just go for it.

Hey Chris,

I have that lens and it’s not bad if you’re ok with the slow speed. Sharp enough, wide enough, but for me, it’s precisely slow in the places I want to use a wide angle….like an aquarium. Outside? Fine. Realty interiors on a tripod? Fine. Though this was taken with it:

My EF 17-40mm f4 L died earlier this year. It had performed admirably in Europe, but I replaced it under warranty with the EF 16-35mm f2.8 L II. In Like New condition from MPB, the price is $550. I have two EF lenses, and yes they are heavier and bulkier, but they have been great on the R6, R7 and now the R5m2.

If the weather sealing and the wider aperture didn't matter to me, I would have gone for the RF 15-30mm you're looking at.

A lightweight lens that does a good job. I recently purchased the RF 15-30mm F4.5-6.3 lens, and the results encourages me to shoot more
