For those of you who have the 24-240, and shoot it on an R5, well, are you satisfied? I'm considering it for travel use. I don't expect the same results as an L lens, but what's your opinion?

The 24-240 stays glued to my R6 most of the time, unless I'm using the EF 100-400/L II. I have the RF 24-105/4L and while I absolutely love it, the 24-240's focal range is so much more useful, and the performance is excellent.

I have the RF 24-105 f/4 and the 70-200 f/2.8. The 24-105 is my EDC (everyday carry) lens. I don't normally like to take my 70-200 f/2.8 out because it is just to heavy to be lugging around. I only really use it for events like youth sports. I have an opportunity to get the 24-240 at a good price. I am contemplating selling the 24-105 and just using the 24-240 as my EDC lens. I have a few trips planned this year and I don't think there is a need to have both lenses. The 24-105 L lens is probably the better lens, but the versatility of the 24-240 is appealing to me. For you folks that have both these lenses, do you find that you use the 24-240 much more than the 24-105?

So far, about equal. But....as a travel solution this lens, when combined with the 14-35 is the way I'll go.

Agree 100%. For me, when I am home, I tend to use the 24-105 F4 plus my 70-200 F2.8 or 100-500L. But when I travel, its the 24-240 plus the 14-35L

I have a feeling that if I purchase the 24-240, the 24-105 f/4 will sit on a shelf indefinitely.

Appreciate I'm late to the party - I just found the forum this evening.
I'm really pleased with the results of the 24-240 with my R8.

I left my DSLR eco system behind - I loved my 5D3 but the weight and relative gains to my PixelPro6 made it a hard sell to take it with me everywhere like I once did. The R8 + 24-240 means I have a single package that out performs my phone in every respect now. Winning!
