I was asked by a good friend to make some images of Town Falls for his brothers 50th birthday. They are both avid kayakers and have paddled the River Dee (as well as many other rivers around the world) many times. If I'm honest I was pretty nervous as I'm very much at the start of my journey as a photographer.

The Dee was in full flood as we'd had lots of rain the week before. What was proper interesting to me were the patterns in the white water from the long exposure shots.

So, this is officially my first 'commissioned' work hahaha. Not that I charged him a penny for it. He's an old friend and I'm still not at a point where I feel I can ask for money> I'll get there ;-)

Very nice. I'm sure your friend will love them. It would be hard to choose between them.

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
