I've shot ballpark 100 fashion shows. This was one of the most challenging lighting. While they were good, they were also on spot and bright. 4 spots right behind photo pit above camera, and 2 spots hip-height in front of photo pit. I chatted some with the light guys and they were worried if they tune them down the far end of runway is too dark. My attitude is that good photographer knows how to adjust to any situation so I told them it's fine. I'm sure they would have not liked to change the lights hours before the show anyway. Just do your best.
The spotlights were also basically the only lights so the room was really dark. And lot of outfits were either white and/or black, or even shiny ones. So if/when models came close to the photo pit they were really overblown and dark outfits were quite dark in the far end. Changed to raw+jpeg instead of my usual jpeg+jpeg to help with editing.
Now started poking the pictures and yes they need careful tuning based on where in the runway the model is.
