Took out the R7 and 100-500 on consecutive days this week.

My wife and I went out to Lake Sammamish on Friday. It can be a decent bird place if you can get lucky, and if not, there's always something or other and it's a fine walk up the river to the lake. I was looking for Martins and found a frog and a turtle. As the turtle crawled out of the muck, another couple nearby told us, "Oh, you need to go to Lake Washington for the good turtles. I can probably count on my fingers the number of times I've seen turtles in the wild, so on Saturday, we did.

I like the frog. He looks content, satisfied with his place in the world.
