Was thinking of "upgrading" from my Canon RP to an R8 for pics and then getting a Sony ZV-E1/35 1.8 for my new YouTube channel (just to have the latest and greatest for pics and what looks like a really good option dedicated to video).
Right now I use my RP for everything and all is well, but thought the above might up my game.
Splitting hairs/GAS or a nice idea?
Thank you for your insights.

New gear is always nice, if you need it. Just a thought on might look at the R6mkII and just get one new camera.

Apart from IBIS and influencer vanity points, what do you feel the ZV-E1 provides more than the R8 for video?

Probably nothing. Might have just got caught up in a few YouTube videos.
My bad and a bonus for the R8 is in not having to reinvent the wheel. I keep the production and editing pretty simple so thanks for allowing me to think out loud.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
