I keep forgetting about Vero and I haven't posted there if over a year!

I use Flickr (free version) mainly because I am on a couple of forums that require it (or similar). Not difficult but just a bit of a faff when I just want to drop a quick photo into a post. I was pleasantly surprised to find this site is "straight in" - well almost except for a quick shrink. Not familiar with the others but may give them a look.

I use Instagram (link at left), but increasingly find it full of ads and clickbait. I also dislike the way the algorithm serves up posts out of order, and the way it mangles photo details (as does Facebook). If I could do without both, I would happily bin them as I did with Twitter, but family, friends and customers are there, so I'm stuck.

I replaced Twitter with Bluesky, and in about a year have gone from 0 to over 1k followers - something I never managed in ten years on Twitter. I'm on a couple of photo "starter packs" - and used a few of those in the early days, and so I have a timeline with lots of good images from all over the world. It's not a photo sharing app per se, but it can be as photo centric as you want to make it.

I've used https://www.smugmug.com for years. I don't sell photos, so I don't use their business level features. I think you should consider selling via whatever site that you select.

Btw, I pay for SmugMug because, back in the day, there were space limits for free sites that I didn't want to deal with. I've been happy with reliability and service.

Haven’t heard of Vero, Glass or Foto, and I despise all things Meta even though I use it for the business side. I use SmugMug, and have been for about 15 years, for personal stuff (family, kids, travel, hobbies, etc). I also use PicTime as a gallery delivery tool after paid photo shoots. You may peruse if you like: www.esheato.com

If you use one of the Adobe plans you get up to 5 free personal websites via Portfolio. I wasn't sure what you use but just in case. I've come across people who aren't aware of this.

Yup, pretty nice benefit too. It’s easy, and cheap, enough to secure your own domain and connect it too.

That was why I went with it. I was paying more per year for Zenfolio alone, which was overkill for my needs. I was looking for a replacement but couldn't get motivated to rebuild the site. That motivated me.

Flickr’s still decent for organizing sets.

I use Flickr. It's okay. currently on the free version, but considering the paid version.

I've used Flickr pro for many years. I think I was grandfathered in when they went to the higher price plan. I started using it because the kids always complained I took pictures of the grandkids doing sports but they never saw the finished images. So. I started creating an album for each event and as soon as it goes up I send them all a link.

I've also been on Instagram for years although I seem to post there less and less. Too many ads for crap I have no interest in.

My favorite was Google+ because a lot of photographers, artists and tech people posted there. Sadly, Google dropped it at some point

Might as well share images on here just as good no cost and nice comments though im always open to CC
