We were very lucky to see a few close-in Icebergs at Twillingate while we were there. Apparently they had been one very large berg up until a few days before we got there. This is the bigger of the two pieces. I had thought that we would need to take a boat to see them but was really surprised to be able to photograph them from the shore. This was taken with my 100-500 at its shortest focal length. Minimally cropped.

There’s a really bad movie about some folks who took a boat to see an iceberg up close and personal-like.

Just sayin’.
And they first heard the distress call in Newfoundland. Imagine that.
