Great masking tutorial. I've had serious issues with DxO masking, mostly because I didn't understand how to properly use he tools. This video really helped. Thanks so much.

After having gotten burned by Apple’s decision to pull the plug on Aperture, I always keep one eye on the exit with ANY photo software. I currently use Crapture One and have for several years now and it does what I need…but I keep looking, just in case.

I have Skylum Neo and pretty much never use it, apart from object removal - something C1 sometimes struggles with. I have the Topaz suite, and almost never use those. I’m currently trialing ON1 Photo RAW, but I’m going to say “No thanks” when that runs out - it promised easy, powerful object removal, but most of the time it mostly just smears the object in question. 🙄 I also have one eye on Affinity, now that Apple bought it.

I played with DXO a few times in the past, but it always seemed a bit…weird. Might be time to take another look.
