The swell from Hurricane Fiona hit the coast of RI with a good punch for the surfers (and some photographers). Some of the waves hitting the breakwater threw spray 40 feet high, and the surfers had the very rare occurrence of being able to actually surf in a barrel (if they could get on the wave, it was so windy it was hard to get a ride). I've got a few thousand more images to go through, but I knew when I caught this sequence I had a keeper or two.

That does look pretty intense! Certainly makes for great photos though!
