Full-Frame All EF telephoto Prime lens Image thread

I don’t see image thread for other telephoto primes except for EF500mm II. So here hoping we get more members to post their images who still actively using the EF telephoto primes. Hopefully this is okay with the moderators if not please delete.

I will start.

For years and years, my reach kit was an EF 400mm f/5.6 mounted on an xxD body. When I got my first mirrorless camera, an R7, I used the 400/5.6 on that body for a few months during one birdless summer before I swapped out all my DSLR stuff for mirrorless, including a new RF 100-500.

I'm just going to empty the clip on this one. This is pretty much all I have with that lens on a mirrorless body.

Nice series Shipley, that’s one of my first lens for a while along with EF300mm f4l IS USM and that 400mm f5.6 attached with my 7D II and later on R6, incredible lens.

Yeah, I loved that 400/5.6. Long, light weight, L-lens sharp, affordable. What's not to like? My RF 100-500 might be the best lens I've ever owned, but it's bigger, heavier, more complex and way more expensive then that 400 prime.

Indeed. I sold my EF100-400 II and replaced it with refurbished RF100-500mm when it was offered $1699 12/2023 that was the last time for that price for refurbish copy. The best RF telephoto lens so far
