Your R System Images - June 2026

Welcome to our Canon RF Shooters Forum

Be apart of something great, join today!

We’re back (just in time for our final post of the month!). Four historic site visits (two were reprises) and two cycle rides totalling 31 miles (in 32+ degrees) with 2,945ft of ascent - including three Category 3 climbs - the third being so brutal even Karen needed a breather! 😮 The second ride featured a technical steep rocky descent towards the day’s venue during which the front wheel of Phil’s gravel bike encountered a large and annoyingly irresistible sample of mineral material which separated his noble cycling aspirations from reality. No lasting harm was done to Phil (or the R5 II/ RF 14-35 L in his backpack!).

A few images should be making their way here. (Well, eventually - they're 'in the queue'... ).

Please welcome the newest member of Team Moore - 'Arfur' (Arfur Drone - it’s quite small)…

Are you familiar with Danny MacAskill?

(Well, you did mention "technical", "steep", "rocky" and "descent" :) )

Hi Roy,

No, we were not aware of this guy (we are now and - wow, W.T.A.F.!?). On a scale of respect, you’d need to add several zeros onto the end of 100% (and that wouldn’t be enough). Amazing levels of courage, skills and talents - on 2-wheels and for production… 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🫡 🫡

Terrific post - cheers for the links, we both really enjoyed watching them… 🙂

Hi Gareth,

Both compositions are absolutely wonderful, but #1 would be going on our wall.

Great work - and thank you for sharing... 🙂

Thanks!

And congrats on the drone. I've been toying with the idea of getting one, but we need to paint the roof...

Hi Pavel,

You summed these shots up perfectly - breathtaking!

(We feel like if we get too close to the screen we could fall through and tumble into the scenery).

Thank you for sharing... 🙂

Thank you so much, Phil & Karen. Your kind words truly mean a lot to me. I’m delighted that the images brought you a little piece of the Alps.

And a warm welcome to Arfur! 😊 I have a feeling this little flying team member is going to show us some amazing new perspectives. Looking forward to seeing what adventures await!

Kudos to the R5m2: its eye-tracking is extraordinary!

Below is a screenshot from the Focus Points plug-in for LrC.

I have the R6III. Eye and subject detect has become so good since 2020 it's like shooting fish in barrel. I have manual overrides in case eye detect fails and I hardly use them these days.

*** R System Images - June *** Thread Closed…

Another wonderful collection of inspirational R System images this month - posted by people from all around the world and viewed by people from all around the world. We’ve really enjoyed looking at them (though we can’t always comment on each and every image due to ‘life stuff’). A HUGE ‘thank you’ to all of the contributors and commentators - your time and talents are appreciated!

You can continue to post any comments here, but the July thread is now open for all new images (including any additional June material).
