I've still got the ashes of one of my cats sitting on a bookcase shelf.
She was an odd sort. Used to be owned by a couple. Who then separated and neither of them wanted her. She spent some time living rough, ended up at local vet, from where I took her. Extremely distrustful of people. After about 3-4 years she was starting to become more friendly. Then she got herself deadified.
