It's the moon, wearing a beanie.

When it raining outside I stay inside to play. I like this photograph but I wonder if I should replace the Lamp in post with a photo of the moon. Not sure my Photoshop skills are up to it and I rarely photograph the Full Moon...the terminator makes for more interesting photographs (imho). Setup...

Forest fires in British Columbia and Saskatchewan also caused smoke in Alberta skies. This is how our moon looks filtered through the smoke.

Moon using RF600mm

This shot was taken a few minutes before my other post, when the super moon was just peeking above the horizon in downtown Pittsburgh. The warm setting sun was still illuminating the buildings while the moon did take on a slight pinkish cast, because of haze. I prefer these contextual moon shots.

The recent super moon is not really pink, of course, but it did make for an interesting composition over the downtown skyline on April 29.

Last night's "Pink" Supermoon. 31 images taken handheld with R5 + 800mm + 1.4x. Stacked and mineral moon processed in Photoshop.

This was one of my first moon photos taken with the RF800 f/11. This wasn't a planned shot but was only possible at the last minute because of the cooperative image stabilization in the lens and the IBIS in the R5. I was aware of the moon in my peripheral vision as I was approaching a local...

Got room for about three more. A work in progress.

This is a working composite over the next couple of weeks.

Although i mostly photograph Wildlife and some Aviation i do like to shoot the Moon when the skies are clear. This image was with the R5 and the EF800mm + 1.4tc.
