The Holga 60mm f/8 EF mount lens has a single small aperture opening that is surrounded by eight even smaller holes. I modified the lens opening by covering the eight outer holds using duct tape...of course. I think it removed the ultra heavy vignette that is inherent with the lens. Each photo is a vertically shot panorama stitched, 10 shot, 13 shot and 16 shot.

Do you think they have a Fine Art film look to them?

I think they are really good. I don’t know anything about fine art, but they have a dream like quality.

It appears that two of them were taken on a foggy day, and one on a clear day, correct? Or is the fogginess an effect of the lens?

You did very well for $13.99 and the cost of your duct tape. Seriously.

Very cool indeed. I would have to experiment with different types or colors of tape to see if it changes the look. Maybe use some of that silver shiny tape, or red, green tape, or black tape for example. There has to be some light bouncing around in there and maybe it change things up.
But as it is, it is a nice look, and a very fun idea.

The duct tape alone will be $100.00. Could be less if he uses a beer can. Give the man a profit margin. Say…..$110.00.

The beer can pin hole camera video was interesting. I get irritated waiting 2 minutes to download my digital files, much less waiting a year to see how it turned out. Instant gratification. Cool concept, though.

@SwampGrizz, yes two foggy days and one not. I like both scenarios and haven't decided which I like better.

@Bryan Conner, I first used Red electrical tape that case a Red hue over the entire image. Having a career in the Trades, I know never to use Black electrical tape on anything you will eventually remove. I also have White, Yellow, and I think I have Blue as well.

@StevenAunan, I have seen the can videos before and I am not sure where I couple put it where it wouldn't be effected my Rain, Slugs, and other garden creatures. I do have a Pinhole body cap and claims to be approximately f/185 and 50mm. The quality is worse than the modified Holga lens: Zero on sharpness. I might try the pinhole cap again using IBIS: High Resolution and stitched as well...stay tuned.

That is a hard decision. Both scenarios have a lot going for them. The sharp one has a 1930’s vibe going, like Dorothea Lange would do. The foggy ones have a sense of mystery, and the black and white accentuates the mood. That’s my take, you may have intended something entirely different. Excellent work. Please keep fooling around with this, and keep us in the loop.

I was thinking of Gaffer's tape. It basically doesn't leave any residue on anything.
