Hello fellow RF shooters,

I recently discovered this forum. I have been using Canon gear for a long time (since high school). I finally switched from a 5D Mark IV to an R3 last year. Birds are one of my favorite subjects. I'm currently using an EF 500mm f/4L IS USM and I love it when I can track birds in flight. I shoot from a tripod, so that is not an easy task for me, although far easier than hand-holding.

Aloha,
Char

Welcome to the forum, Char.

Welcome to the forum. That lens you have is one I’d love to get my hands on.
PS: Have you considered trying a good monopod to give stability with a bit more ease of tracking?
