Hanging around Tillamook Air Museum for a couple photographs.

Cockpit is a 5 shot panorama and Navigator's Station is a 7 shot panorama.

In the movie "Failsafe" the plane was the H model, I'm not sure which model was used in "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb".

Wow!

My Dad proudly served 25 years in the USAF. He was trained as a navigator and EWO (Electronics Warfare Officer) and did his fair share of time in the B52 (if I remember correctly). He shared many stories of training a new flight crew on the hazards of navigating when systems fail (not to mention avoiding incoming hostile fire) during his tenure....

Thank you for posting these.

It makes me miss my Dad that much more (passed away from Covid in April 2020).

(I was born at Mather AFB in Rancho Cordova, California - decommissioned in 1993)

As tight as that cockpit is, great shot!

Interesting the throttles are at "Full Power"...

In Dr Strangelove was not the attack order "Plan R"???

Nice shots. Thanks for sharing. I’ll send that to my friend who a much more into aviation than I am. He was at the airshow in British Columbia last weekend.

One will occassionally fly by the house pretty low during takeoff and landing. Never much of a problem with mosquitoes in my neighborhood because of it.

Hope you have a higher credit limit on your card, they don't take "Regular".

I was flying a TH-55A out of Ft Wolters TX in 1073, and decided I wanted to take her up to a mile. As I was going through 4,000' I looked down and saw a B-52H out of Carswell about 1000' below me. I decided I really didn't need to be up there....

There was a spot on the Mohawk River right at the end of the runway of Griffiss AFB in Rome NY. This was not known to my dad and I when we were fishing there...until it became abundantly clear...

Hey Bryan... this reminds be of a friend who was invited invited by an acquaintance to a day on the river in a large jet boat. He tried to slip the guy $20 to help with the fuel during fill-up, and his friend smiled and said, "Nah, that's okay. I got it."

He told be he was so embarrassed when the total ended up being around $1,000+ (US).

OUCH! Motion Lotion can be spendiy. I always got a kick out of handing an FBO the identaplate for the CH-47D. 1,000 gallons if Jet-A is a bit $$$$.

I was at KI Sawyer AFB for some ROTC exams in the winter of '72. I toured a B-52H and when I got up on the flight deck, I made the mistake of standing up, I immediately hit my head on an overhead.

The Pilot I was with said "Welcome to BUFF's!"
