B&H has SanDisk Extreme PRO CFe cards on sale. The 512 GB version is $139 (down from $599 retail). According to the Canon R5 spec sheet, the 512 GB card supports 8K video, while the smaller capacities do not. B&H is also teasing the R5 Mark II release date of July 17 at 6 a.m. EDT.

Man, that 512 GB card is so big, I could shoot for one or two years on it without it filling.

Maybe the day will come when cameras come with multi TB cards soldered in, without a need to ever change them.

That's an interesting point - why don't cameras come with integrated memory these days? I'd love that. Still have a card slot for expansion, but have a reasonable capacity of super-fast integrated storage.
