It’s been a long time since I photographed a sunrise. An injury, COVID, school, work, family all had my R5 relaxing way more than I got to in those 5-6 months. Saturday I finally got a chance and was happy I did. Mama nature was kind, providing a beautiful sky and intersecting waves. There’s just something about starting the day with the sun.

That's a stunning shot to get back into the game with Tony! My R5 also hasn't seen as much use as I'd like it to due to various reasons. I hope you'll be able to get out a little more now.

Outstanding shot, and same here. Winter in the northeast and Covid has curtailed my photographic adventures and I'll likely need a few days to re-familiarize myself with my R5.

Thanks, Tim. It’s a long story, one we’ve all experienced, where a series of unfortunate (and some fortunate) events keep us from having time for ourselves, to enjoy our hobbies and just slow down. I hope you get that chance soon.

Thanks, Mike. Same here. I found myself looking for things that were second nature before I took a break. I’ll get some shutter time this weekend doing graduation photos of my daughter around her college. Think I’ll start getting everything ready now so I don’t forget anything. Time spent with the R5 is never wasted.

That's a gorgeous shot, those waves are beautiful how they intersect. I am glad you are feeling better and have gotten out shooting again. It's been a windy and cold prolonged spring here in New England but I have frozen my little fingers off just to get out there. It's my sanity check.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
