When I am glued to the screens for hours of culling and editing, I usually have a big cup of coffee and I like to snack on sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds. I prefer to stay keep on the light side of foods as in watching calories and foods that are not messy. I like my keyboard and mouse clean. If I am editing a landscape pics at night, a little scotch is great, Glenlivet is my choice to celebrate a few great landscape shots and it doesn't take long to edit.

What say you fellow RFShooters?

Sort of depends on the time of day. My wife and I are retired and have separate home offices. She still does some consulting work so is often busy with clients. But I'm almost always doing something with images on my computer. Early in the morning it's usually some coffee and then breakfast like eggs or oatmeal. We generally eat lunch and dinner together but once a week my wife has a conference call at 7pm with clients in Australia so I tend to eat dinner at my machine and a glass or 2 of wine.

I have to be REALLY careful with snacks, and especially with drinks around my computer. It's just too darn easy to spill the drink, or have crumbs end up in the keyboard!!! As for what I like to have, well, it's coffee to drink during the day, and I try to keep any snacks to a minimum, otherwise I have a tendency to eat completely mindlessly. In the evening, sometimes I'll mix up a drink. A Vodka Spritzer is nice; I need to dilute my drinks if I plan to accomplish anything at all!!!!

Coffee is a must, cashew nuts or dark chocolate coated digestive biscuits - just have to be careful as they tend to just disappear (no way did I eat a whole packet lol)

Morning (before 11:00AM) is coffee.
Afternoon (11:00-5:00) is water.
Evening (5:00-whenever) if I am having a drink, is bourbon or red wine. No snacks as I am fighting a rapidly expanding waistline!! ☹️ Bourbon and red wine aren’t causing that, right? 😉

I find that classical music on webradio with Flor de Caña rum is an excellent combination.

Regarding music...this time of year it's Christmas music for me!!!!
My husband does not like Christmas, and really does not like Christmas music, so I tell him he might as well stay out of my office!!

The rest of the year I like to listen to classic rock.

Classic rock is good!! But Christmas music - I've heard it before. :( It's OK on Christmas day though, and a couple days before and after.

Grinch! ;):giggle:;) Seriously, I find new Christmas music every year. There's such a wide range of it. I love the classical versions, like The Three Tenors, or Josh Groban's versions. But the rest of the year I'll listen to just about anything. Except rap.

IMO a lot of that stuff is just schlock - like the worn-out pieces by Tony Bennett et al. Some Christmas music never tires, though, like Sleigh Bells by Anderson, and Tchaikovsky's less-known pieces.

I know most folks just want to hear Rudolph and the other familiar stuff. I play in a community band and one season, the director got out Russian Christmas Music by Reed. It is deep and gorgeous, but not familiar enough, and it was scrubbed. A tragedy. :(

I'll also listen to most music, but not rap either, and not (most) opera.

Snacks - 08:00 bean to cup coffee (Phil)/ English breakfast tea with a dash of milk (Karen), 09:30 bean to cup coffee (Phil)/ Red Bush tea no milk (Karen) with either Karen's homemade cakes or cookies, afternoon glass of water (both).

Music - Prog Rock: Haken, Between The Buried And Me, Porcupine Tree/ Steven Wilson, Soen, Steve Hackett, Dream Theatre, Methodica etc...

Wow! Thanks for the link to the video. I had never heard that before. It sure would be awesome to hear that live! The kind of music that you feel to the core of your body...
I may have to see about getting it.
I like some of the familiar songs; there are a few of them that I can just listen to over and over again.

I greatly enjoy classic Christmas music. I detest bouncy children's 'music' like Jingle Bells or that business of how Santa exploited a previously shunned deformed quadruped when the disability proved temporarily useful.

I'd say that anything Christmas themed that would find a place in a church recital s what I enjoy.
