I watched a couple vids on the Brenizer Method (or bokeh panorama) so I thought I would give it a try. The Brenizer Method involves taking multiple images and stitching them to create a wide angle photo with a shallow depth of field.

Here is my first attempt using 15 photographs @ 14220 x 7999 pixels (77.5MB) taken in our courtyard. I was about 10 feet away and used an 11mm Extension Tube to make this work.

Note: The smaller Steampunk Minion is one-inch tall, so you might have to view full screen.

I might try it again, but get lower to the ground for more of a landscape distance feel...maybe another day.

It looks really cool, but I'm kinda' dumb - this is a macro panorama?

This webpage shows an example of how it is 'normally' accomplished.

Core Idea:
  • The method uses a telephoto lens (like an 85mm or longer) and a wide aperture (like f/1.8 or wider) to capture multiple overlapping images.
  • These images are then stitched together using image editing software (like Photoshop) to create a single, wide-angle image with a shallow depth of field and creamy bokeh.

That is pretty cool. Nice work/ I tried it out a while ago but used only software to get that look.
