My R6 III 's current firmware version is 1.0.0
I'm trying to load version 1.1.2
I downloaded the file from Canon's site and moved it onto a formatted CFexpress card. File identity is eosr63-vr112-mac.dmg (I am using an iMac).
I then insert the card into the camera, set it to P mode (per the instructions), go to the "firmware" in the setup menu, and hit "Set". All I get is a message saying "Memory card containing firmware is required to update" . For some reason it's not recognizing the update file on my memory card. Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind, figured it out! I neglected to extract the .fir file prior to attempting to load the update.
