I am unable to download images through Adobe Bridge into my Mac from a CFExpress card reader. However, I was able to download them with the camera attached through the “Get Photos from Camera” menu. The SD card downloaded just fine. I save to 2 formats and switched the cards to take care of the problem. Now JPGs go to the CFExpress card and CR3 RAW files go to the SD card. The CFExpress card reader works on my iPad so I can select some images to save there and the SD card downloads to my external hard drive as usual.

Seems a bit strange that it won't work on the Mac, mine does no problem.

Yeah, I have a PC and had to determine a workaround to make it work with mine. Turns out that the USB-C to USB connection cable did the trick. The reader get hot, but moves very fast.

You may want to purchase a similar cable. It was like $3 from Amazon.

The cable that came with RF5 connects to camera but I can't connect to my mac desk top computer. It's a USB-C... Where do you find the cable to work with the USB on mac

The following works for me on my windows PC but the ad states it's compatible with Mac as well. Comes with both cables at a reasonable price.

Sorry. I got the impression from your first sentence that you were trying to use a CFExpresscard reader. My bad.

You can find ISB-C type to USB cables on Amazon. They’re pretty inexpensive.
