Still toying with R1 ideas and see huge discounts now and then.

Ive got R6ii and speaking to a guy who has R1 and R6ii as back and my genre rodeos weather equine etc.

He points out run of the mill daytime easy photography I may not notice much if any difference maybe just slight improvement in focus but if ive mastered the r6ii will be negligible.

But once its dark comes into its own not necessarily less noisy images until 25600 and above and focus is way better once ugly dark ugly variable lightning. Focus sticks like shit to nappy.

Inching towards rodeo photography accreditation.

Hi Peter, Not shot with the R6ii but have used the wife's R5 and for me it will always be the R1, my 'main' use is accredited motorsport and I cannot fault it, only time I get what I call bad images is down to user error not equipment.

I will agree with the guy in that yes day to day 'normal' shooting you will probably be hard pushed to see any major difference (other than being able to crop more if you need to) BUT the difference when you start to use the R1 in 'anger' you will not be disappointed and dare I say you will more than likely end up with the R6 as your back up body.

Hope that helps.
