Two photos of deer in a small nature preserve, Millbrook Marsh. The first is a doe that emerged from the treeline and crossed the marsh in the early morning while I was birding. She was followed by two fawns that remained too low in the tall grass for me to photograph. The second photo is from a group of about 12 deer. It was a week earlier and also in the morning. When I looked closely at the second photo, I realized the deer in the background is a buck, the subject at right-front is a doe, and the smaller deer on the left is likely a young doe who has lost her spots.

Makes me wonder where the phrase "doe eyes" came from.

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
