Our British members might find this amusing, that we Americans love dressing up in Victorian costumes before the Christmas holidays. But it's all in good fun, Galveston was once one of the primary ports of entry for immigrants from England, Ireland, Germany and other European countries in the late 1800's.
The festival is fun, those in costume get free entry and to be honest some look more like costumes from the Mad Max series. I even saw this year a guy dressed as a big robot.
Anyway, there was a light fog and some drizzle which made for good portrait lighting. I took my R7 and mostly shot with my Tamron 18-400mm lens.
