My friendly neighborhood Downies have staked out certain trees & branches as their own... This day, a Dove decided to check out the Downy's sacred branch...
The Downy, somewhat startled, assumed a defensive posture...
After a few minutes of this, the Downy had had enough and assumed its Attack Formation...
And with an impressively vicious *PECK* drove the intruder away!
I continue to be amazed at these cheeky little creatures!!!
