I bought the battery grip and at first could not charge the batteries in-camera using USB. Well, I discovered that first, An USB-C charger with PD (power delivery) is required. Anything else will not work. I'm using one that is supposed to be for a MacBook, though it's not an Apple product. Second, to get the camera to start charging, first plug the USB-C charger into the socket on the battery grip, turn the camera on, wait 10 seconds and then turn it off. After 10 seconds or so, the green 'charging' lamp should come on for battery 1. When the first battery is charged the indicator for battery 2 will come on and battery 1 light will go out. When charging is complete, both lamps will go out. Shoot all day and never have battery anxiety!
