So finally updated my firmware , firmware's always seem sketchy to me even if you do have a backup. Can personally say though no issues with AF from Sigma Art glass to L Ef glass to the RF glass , also no issues with the adapters either i tried the regular adapter and also the one with the adjustment ring. so i would have to say 100% good. Also seems like the Af is quicker on pet's such as dog's now i could be wrong but it definetly seem's like it for sure. Just wanted to give my little bit of info since i did not just try the RF glass with the firmware update , Happy sunday my Canon family :)

Never had a problem with any firmware update in terms of losing any functions. Although 1.5 and 1.5.1 were not as good as 1.4 AF wise, everything always worked fine after. The upgrade to 1.5.2 made the AF sticky again like in 1.4.
