The new to me used EL1 speedlite works a treat, easy to use understand.

Im doing a rodeo queen rodeo princess which I got asked to do Mostly midday onwards sigh.

R5 actually thinking 24/70 2.8 or 70/200 2.8 but think will have 70/200 on r6ii get them parading then when they pull up for the portrait use r5 with flash and 24/70

Thinking R5 with flash 2.8 1/4 power high speed sync say 1/1200 or 1/1600 work it out after first shot.

Plan is to expose image as normal and just slight fill flash.

Just enough flash to help with hat shadow, plus get them to tilt hat back just a fraction and make sure I get eye level or just below?

Been practicing on son with cowboy hat

The guy that sold the flash uses 1.2 lens at concerts in well light venues found he didnt need it. Used it about 3 outings been collecting dust for lmost 3 years plus with EL version 2 out thought he had better quit it sooner rather than later before a version 3 comes out.

Will see me out and hey just one big battery rather than the ole Duracells
