Insects can become habituated. (or some can).

Or? 1/200th may be flash sync. (lack of light in the background).

I'm searching through images for the few that have pollen grains stuck on the hairy bits that some insects have in their eyes.

Coloquialism. "peepers". Eyes.

Insects were the first pixel peepers - even before the term was phrased
