I suggest that you start your camera quest by looking very carefully at the R5m2. It’s an extraordinary camera, and by no means bulky. It’s unlikely to be superseded before 2028.

Stock is plentiful, discounts abound and there is even an AU$300 promotional offer until early June.

As Photofarmer said, this is a great group here. One of the best on the internet in my opinion.

As far as recommendations, I would suggest sharing some information about your current gear, and most importantly, what type of photography you lean towards: sports, landscape, street, or a combination of all.

And maybe tell us what you like or dislike about your current gear. All of that will give us the best chance of giving appropriate suggestions to help you make the best, and informed, decision for yourself.
