Birds Had a great day at Smith Oaks Bird Refuge in High Island, Texas

Just a good day for bird photography. It was a hazy overcast morning so really nice non-contrasty lighting. Birds were everywhere in the rookery, lots of bird on nests and some eggs and chicks seen.

Today, I was not depressed and did not dwell on how bad my government is. I thought only of capturing the birds on my cameras and was totally tuned into the gear and what my eyes saw.

And to top it off, the mosquitoes weren't too bad!
