I am Jaybee and I live in Edinburgh Scotland. I am in my later years and have photography and walking as my hobby. My first camera many years ago was a Nikon, then I changed to Panasonic. Last year because I was finding it difficult to carry heavy gear I was advised by a salesperson in WEX to try the Canon EOS RF50 with the 100-400mm lens. The set up is so much lighter and easier for me to use as I do suffer from a problem with my back.
I have been reading some of the comments regarding the camera and its various lenses, interesting reading as I have thought about getting a 1.4 or a 2 extender but so far havn't taken the plunge. I have also got a Canon 24-105mm lens which is a good walkabout one. I will post a couple of photos from both. Meantime I will keep thinking about getting an extender.

Welcome to the forum, and those are great shots. I particularly like the kingfisher.

Hello and welcome! Nice photos!

Welcome! I love Edinburgh. I lived there for part of my childhood…a great place to live.

Hi and welcome to the forum Jim. I enjoyed seeing your images. I will hopefully get to visit Scotland again in the next few years. It is one of my favorite places I have visited so far.

I am struggling to understand the various aspects of the site, I see photos on facebook and on here but have no idea where to add photos on here. I added a photo of Murrayfield rugby ground on FB but dont see it here. At the moment this is the only place I know I can add stuff, is there another way to add photos and comments on here. All help will be appreciated.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
