Hi to you all

Just joined as have been looking for a friendly community around the mirrorless cameras.

A bit of an intro on me - I am a very much amateur photographer that, over the years, has moved from a Canon 450D, to a 7D, to a 5D mkiii and now moved into my first mirrorless camera - the R5!
Currently all my glass is a transplant from the 5D (so all EF having to use the adaptor for now), hoping as time goes on I will swap over, probably a lens at a time
I tend to like taking photos and landscapes and general food/drink - but recently have enjoyed trying to learn about astrophotography.

I look forward to getting to know the forums and hopefully learn what can be done on this R5 ! Here are a few pics I have taken, only very few so far due to being in lockdown!

Lovely images David and welcome to the forum. It sounds like lockdown is a lot more stricter over in Australia!

We would tend to disagree with our Aussie cousins there - under our lvl 4 (which they put the country into at one stage)
You must stay home, can’t talk to neighbours, can not exercise outside your direct neighbourhood, all shops, cafes etc shut - no Delivery from shops unless essential service, must stay home unless essential business and supermarkets were limited

Gets pretty tiring ! And stops you getting out to try the new toy !

My bad, you are in New Zealand not Australia! I might need to increase the size of the flags to distinguish between the two! That does sound really tough, we definitely got off very lightly here in the UK. I hope the end of lockdown is in sight!

Thanks - Govt has said they may release us on the 26th of November …. If 90% of eligible population is all double vaccinated by then anyway
