I've got 2 granddaughters who live nearby who are both in high school, one is a freshman the other a junior. The younger one called me 3 weeks ago to "book" me for her portraits, she said there would be a few friends. Second granddaughter soon made a request as well. Little did I know my younger granddaughter is apparently "Miss Popularity and invited 12 friends to be in on the photoshoot.

I scouted some locations, I wanted open shade if possible to avoid hot or blotchy sunlight. Found a community clubhouse with a big pond and fountain for the younger and the waterfront along Lake Houston where some restaurants are. We had fun, I post the best images on Flickr album so all the kids and their parents can view and download if they want.

These are some of the shots of the Juniors, my granddaughter is in the purple dress. Apparently sequins and glitter are the big thing this year! The back lighting was quiste strong so I had to do both a background mask in lightroom to lower the exposure and then a subject mask to increase exposure and warm up the cool shade lighting.

Here are a few of the younger Freshman granddaughter (peach colored dress) and her friends. Both my grands were happy and said their friends were all excited to get their pictures taken. I did do some masking here but the changes were not nearly as necessary as the ones on the lake. Mostly to correct the green cast from the trees around them.
