My sister just gave me a chair with a built in blind. I set it up on the deck, just to play with. The birds were still a little skittish, but they did come in after giving me the side-eye for a bit. "I'm not sure about that chair thing, but at least it's not that ugly guy that's usually out there...."

Interesting.

I'd never considered a blind when bird-watching from my deck. What make/model do you have?

Not sure if it’s this exact one because the model numbers don’t match, but it’s damned close. I think it might be an older iteration.

LOL, well if that doesn't camouflage me, nothing will.

(I was tempted to same something snarky, like "But that's how I normally look", but decided to refrain..)

Many thanks for the link!

The birds still seem to think something is fishy - I did have the front opening open more than the pic -but not enough to completely discourage them. Maybe if I left the chair out for them to get used to they might be less skittish.

Mosquitoes however are not at all fooled. 🤨

There’s room for a person and a tripod.

And the chair has a cupholder…

(I was tempted to same something snarky,
I would expect nothing less!
