Love it! My experience with others photos comes from YouTubers, and they all tend to leave a lot of space around the bird. I can appriceate that, and love the look, but I like a close up. I like how I feel like I'm right there with this bird, and love the soft reflection.
 
Room for both types of shot and although not in this case, too tight a crop with no room to move forward can ruin a shot in my opinion. What you do have here is a debate as to which is the main subject, the Grebe or the fish? Without the fish the bird would be a poor subject with this crop, again, imo!
