I find the camera settings interesting for the Top 3 in the January 2026 Competition – Travel and Places.

Settings listed first place, second place, and third place.

Camera: R5, R3, R5
Aperture: f/8, f/5.6, f/9
ISO: 100, 50, 100
Shutter Speed: 1/250, 1/200, 1/100
Focal Length: 53mm, 24mm, 200mm, [Wide-Angle, Standard, Telephoto]

Time: Morning, Midday, Evening.

Looks like there isn’t much variance [other than focal length] in camera settings no matter what the lighting conditions were.

Dean: You see, most blokes, you know, will be shooting at eight. You're on eight here, all the way down, all the way down, all the way down, you're on eight on your camera. Where can you go from there? Where?

Ken: I don't know.

Dean: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?

Ken: Put it up to Nine.

Dean: Nine. Exactly. One smaller.
