Today Adobe has issued an update for Camera Raw (14), LR Classic and PS. As well as new masking there is camera profile matching. First quick inspection is looking good for the R5 in comparison with the Color Fidelity R5 profiles. Need to do a further check with a range of images.

Initially did not want to update. Looks like there's a little snag in the update process for some, anyway. Eventually persuaded the updates to come along by trying update in Lightroom Classic, Creative Cloud fires up and initially says all up to date and then force a refresh in creative cloud by selecting check for updates again from the help menu menu.

You'll need to update your catalog format too - which will happen when your first open Lightroom classic

Love the update. My R5 raw processing in LR look much better and less noise.

Just installed it and was happy to FINALLY have camera supported profiles. That said, I took a single image, created a virtual copy, and applied the ColorFidelity profile to one and the analogous camera matching profile to the other. Good news is they looked nearly identical. Bad news, even without zooming when I went form one image back to the other in the Develop module it seemed to have to recreate the preview each time. Not the 1:1, but the full screen preview - it would pixelate and then snap into focus. Wondering if I need to drop and recreate all the previews?

Well, I started Ps 2022 and got this on my 2013 MacBook Pro. So I guess nothing that needs the graphics processor will be available?!

There are some good image comparisons between DPP, Photoshop 2022 and Color fidelity in DPreview. The image comparisons look pretty good and are very close.

Thanks - worked great. I haven't checked DPP4 but it confirms what I thought I was seeing, which is a slight bump in saturation with the Adobe profiles. When we get a sunny day here I plan on doing tests with both DPP4 and the in-camera JPEG against the Lightroom and ColorFidelity profiles for both the R5 and R6. Honestly, the CF profiles for the R5 were much closer than those for the R6, probably due to more feedback received.
